Yeah Ticketmaster sucks balls…Me and my friend wanted tix to AC DC for November 7 in Toronto and I was online at 10am sharp and the site made me wait and kept saying wait and then 30 mins later comes back and says their sold out..wtf? They give away so many tickets to radio stations and anyone else with high social standing there is none left for anyone else. And the prices are outrageous with the surcharges. I’ve decided I will not ever attend another venue unless I can obtain tickets without having to use Ticketmaster cause they just suck.

My wife wanted to give me on hell of a special birthday present, buying me tickets to ACDC but fucking scalpers and Ticket Master ruined that dream for me. Tried for 45 minutes to get tickets both on the phone and computer and all for nothing. It sucks that the true fan can not get to see a band that they have always wanted to see. Way to go for the scalpers that can make a buck off of us who ahve to actually work for a living. Fuck you ticketmaster for actually having a website that helps the low life scalpers sell the tickets that they just bought from you. While I was still trying (in vain) to buy tickets (sold out) ticketmasters sister (bitch) site was helping the scalpers sell their tickets for more than double face value. That is BULLSHIT! How can the average blud collar working canadian afford to got to a concert or sporting event? Thanks for allowing me to rant.

I had the same experience as brad trying to buy Metallica tickets. The tickets were sold out, and my alternative was to use the bitch site and pay up to EIGHT TIMES the face value of the original ticket.

I pretty much said fuck it, but ultimately went to StubHub, which isn’t much better, but it is ran by Google now, and althoug it is another scalping site, the fees were WAY worse on the ticketmaster bitch site.

So I’m going to the show at a cost of $317 for 2 x $59 tickets, but it’s better than the $5000..yes, you read that right FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS for a single ticket in some booth with 24 other idiots that want one person to pay for their whole party.

Either way, this system is total BULLSHIT, and this may be the last concert I ever see if this trend continues, and it’s a fuckin shame.

I tried to get tickets to the Nov 7th AC/DC show. Manage to get 3 in the nose bleed section for $188 a piece (I thought they were supposed to be $69 each) but thought it’s one of the only concerts I’ve ever wanted to go to - I’ve been a fan 30 years. I then get an email 6 hours later saying the tickets are no longer available but I can choose from other tickets ($375 each) from TicketsNow. What a huge scam! This is legallized online scalping.

I tried again for the January 9th show. I joined the AC/DC fan club this time. I spent an hour and half cursing Ticketmaster - calling them every name in the book - the site was screwed up - couldn’t complete the purchase. I was just about to give up because I do have a life to continue on with but thought I’d keep trying for a few more minutes. I got lucky - excellent floor seats for the $99 price. Now I’m waiting for the email from TicketMaster saying “we’re sorry - your tickets are no longer available”.

I checked TicketsNow and tickets in the same area that I got for $99 are selling for $1600 - that isn’t right.

I still think TicketMaster is a big scam and after this concert, I doubt I will ever use their site to purchase tickets again.

The government has to step in - this is criminal.

Worst part is if you read the AC/DC web site, they say they don’t like scalpers. I sent them an email with my story of legallized scalping. But it’s all big business and money.

Maybe if you people werent so ignorant. You would see that ticketmaster fought against scalpers. No one can stop ticket brokers from using 20 foreign retards typing in numbers. Ticketmaster uses ticketsnow to actually still get a piece of the profit that ticketbrokers are stealing outright. Sorry but thats smart business on ticketmasters part. And as for the fees that people bitch about?. Well why have a company if you are selling tickets for face value and not making any profit for yourselves and your costs. Think about … and stop whining like 3 yr olds.

Buying tickets online throught ticketmaster is completely incompetent. All types of errors pops out on Internet, Safari, and Firefox. Ticketmaster should really legitamize their service. And not to mention a “6 dollar guarantee” fee that supposedly “completely” guarantees the delivery of your tickets. Shouldnt guaranteed delivery be an expectation, not another venal scam?

You know Josie, I think it’s worth complaining about. No one cares about “smart business”. They may not be able to stop the scalpers, but they could have a feature on ticketsnow that keeps people from selling the tickets for more than twice the price, or something like that. Sure, people could still go to stubhub, but atleast ticketmaster they could control it on their own system.
